All three picks are in Kailua-Kona, a walkable seaside town with coffee shops, snorkel tours and mid-range hotels. It's a good base for the west-side bays. Kalani Kai#104 is the best value and the one in our total: a vacation home at $1,250 for the 7 nights ($179 a night), rated 9 from 6 reviews. Alii Villas 309 is another vacation home, at $1,508 for the stay ($215 a night), rated 9.4 from 14 reviews.
