Add the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Waikiki for 7 nights and the trip comes to $1,834 for two, taxes and fees included. A checked bag and any resort fee would be extra. Mid-November usually brings highs of 81–82°F, lows near 73°F and some drizzle. It's also big-wave surf season on the North Shore, with humpback whales offshore. The trip also comes before December, which falls in peak family season with the highest rates. That adds up to a full week of warm water, Pearl Harbor and early hikes, without rushing any of it. All three picks are in Waikiki, so the beach, surf lessons, shops and nightlife are all on foot. Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Waikiki is the best value and the hotel in our total. It's $1,064 for 7 nights ($152 a night) for a king room, with a review score of 8 from 1,298 reviews and no free cancellation. Pacific Monarch Hotel costs a little more at $1,325 ($189 a night). It scores 8.1 from 1,306 reviews and has a partial ocean view studio suite, but no free cancellation either. The Royal Hawaiian, A Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki is the top rated pick at $3,841 ($549 a night). It scores 8.4 from 451 reviews and offers free cancellation, though its historic king room has no view. If you'd rather have quiet lagoon days, Ko Olina is on the west side.
