Rain shows up in the normals on Nov 15 and Nov 21, and Nov 20 is mostly clear. Fall color in the city gardens peaks from late November to early December, so you may catch the start of it near the end of your stay. This trip is about eating well and covering a lot of city on foot and by train.

It's rated 8.2 from 133 reviews and is the best value, but it doesn't offer free cancellation. Urban Hotel Morisita in Koto Ward near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa costs $1,033 for the stay ($115 a night). It's rated 8.1 from 270 reviews and is the lower-cost pick with free cancellation. Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji is the top rated at 9 from 815 reviews, $3,921 for the stay ($436 a night), with free cancellation. It's close to the Ginza and Marunouchi area, which has polished shopping streets and Tokyo Station nearby. If you want Golden Gai bars and a big rail hub, look at Shinjuku.
