After an 11:55 PM arrival, Downtown Asheville is the easy base for two nights, with Art Deco streets and breweries, music venues and galleries you can walk to. The River Arts District has converted mills with studios and riverside restaurants. West Asheville has local bars and cafes along Haywood Road.
