Hotel Metropol is the best value and the hotel in our total: $187 for the stay ($94 a night) for a King Room, 4 stars, 8.7 from 5,528 reviews, and it's the only one of the three with free cancellation. It's near the Historic Center, so Centro Histórico, with the Zócalo, the Diego Rivera murals and the Aztec ruins, is right there. Casa Pani is the top-rated pick: 9.3 from 177 reviews, $254 for the stay ($127 a night), in Colonia Cuauhtemoc off Reforma, but there's no free cancellation. Hotel Parque España is another 4-star option at $267 for the stay ($134 a night), rated 8.6 from 689 reviews, also with no free cancellation. For dinners, Roma Norte has the city's densest run of restaurants and mezcal bars, and Condesa is quieter at night.
