Rain shows up in the normals on Nov 15 and Nov 21, and Nov 20 is mostly clear. Fall color in the city gardens peaks from late November to early December, so you may catch the start of it near the end of your stay. This trip is about eating well and covering a lot of city on foot and by train.

This is a city-and-food vacation at a steady clip. Expect early market breakfasts, temple mornings, train rides between neighborhoods and late yakitori under the tracks.
