Late October is outside the July and August peak, when the coast road jams and hotels sell out months ahead. The forecast shows highs of 70–72°F and lows of 57°F, with drizzle and a 30% to 36% chance of rain each day. Pack a light jacket and keep Pompeii or a pizza in Naples as your plan for a rainy hour. There's no time difference from Berlin, and the 6:50 AM departure gets you to Naples by 2:00 PM on Friday, so you still have the afternoon.

Übernachten in Amalfi Coast
We didn't price a hotel for this trip, so the fare is the only price on this page and where you stay is up to you. You land in Naples at 2:00 PM and only have 2 nights, so Sorrento is the easy base: trains run to Pompeii and boats go to Capri. Amalfi is the central option, with a working harbour and ferries to everywhere. Praiano is quieter, cheaper and faces the sunset, between Positano and Amalfi. Positano is the famous village of stacked pastel houses, with cliffside hotels and beach clubs. Ravello has hilltop gardens, concerts and views away from the crowds. On a weekend this short, a base close to your boats or trains saves you the most time.
